Hey Everyone...
Yes I know I have been gone for a very very long time. Thanks to everyone that sent me messages asking how I was doing. My life has just been a little cra cra and so I guess you could say I lost my drive and focus on fashion and beauty. I was also working losing weight and although I havent gained much back I havent lost much lately either. But I miss this and miss yall so I am forcing myself to come back because this truely makes me happy to blog and network with other people who love beauty and fashion topics. Im not gonna back up and do past blogs to fill the gap but I will be posting a few new products and reviews that I have started loving over the past few months.
Also, I am wanting to start vlogging also but I am waiting untill a few things settle down in my life and I get back on schedule blogging here..but just wanted to put it out there.
If there are any specific topics, products you want me to talk about please comment below or let me know!
FYI- I do have a facebook but its personal only right now...once I start vlogging I will start a facebook page for my beauty/fashionista friends.
Glad to be back! Love yas! Char

Makeup Look for Friday, November 9, 2012
Hey Friends!
This was my makeup look on Friday. I focused more on my eyes and left my lips more natural.
This was my makeup look on Friday. I focused more on my eyes and left my lips more natural.
1. After cleansing and applying facial lotion I took my foundation brush and applied the Revlon Airbrush Mouse all over my face down my neck area. I really like the coverage this foundation gives and a little goes a long way.
2. I then apply my Cover Girl Eyeshadow trio which I have talked about before. Its one of my go to trios.
3. I then used my Marbella Eyeliner Marker Pen and did a thin line on my upper eyelash lid to get a more dramatic look but still keeping it appropriate for the office.
4. I applied Loreal Volumious Mascara in Very Black to top and lower lashes.
5. I then used a ELF concealer (not pictured, sorry) and drew a triangle under my eye area near my cheek.
6. Using my blush brush I swept the ELF blush on my apples up towards my cheekbones. I then used the corner of that brush and used the ELF bronzer in the hollows of my cheek and blending in. I swept the bronzer above my eyebrow and temples as well.
7. I used my Too Faced Eyebrow Pencil and help fill in the gaps to make my full eyebrows look more uniformed and smooth. The key is to use this to help your eyebrows not be your eyebrows.
8. I then applied my NYX lip liner in Ever and filled in my lips with my Estee Lauder Lipstick in Sugar Honey which is a nude color with a rose shimmer. Ta da!

NOTD for Setember 26 2012
Hey Yall!
Here is a quick post regarding my nails for the day. I did a simple look this week. I used my new nail polish that I received in my glam bag from Ipsy.
Circus Nail Polish by Andrea's Choice in Tighrope...I love all the shades I have received in this brand. This color I think is great for fall but still very feminine. I tend to be drawn towards pinks, reds and purples for my nails. This is a very grape fushia mix color. I used a wet and wild pink glitter polish on 2 of my nials on each hand.

SEPTEMBER GLAM BAG
A black makeup bag with a wristlet
Soho Smudge Brush
Cicus Nail Polish by Andrea's Choice, in the color Tightrope
Carol's Daughter Monoi Split End Sealer
Mirabella Eye Color in a brown shade
I love receiving my glam bag because its only $10/month...I literally can spend that on one product and not even like it several times a month. So this allows me to get large samples and sometimes full size products for that same price..but I get like 4-5 products. I also get a small makeup purse....Now some people dont like this but I love getting them. I have given gifts in them. I have used it for a smaller makeup bag for my smaller purse..I have used it for a medicine bag, feminine product holder, I used it to carry my jewelry overnight.
Love ya Char!

Natural Face Makeup for Sept 18 2012
Hey Friends!
So recently I went to visit my friend Misty in Dallas, I am sure you will hear more about her in my personal blog. When I was there, I kind of suggested, offerred okay maybe I begged a little if she would let me do her makeup an straighten her hair for our evening out. She is a new mommy and so doesnt spend a lot of time on herself because she is busy doing a 1000 other things. I will post pics of our visit on my other page later this week. So anyways, she liked it for evening but would like something a little lighter and natural for daily use.
So yesterday she asked me to do a more natural look for my makeup this morning and to post what I used. So I of course took up the challenge and knowing her I hid my foundation (sad face) and eyeliners (super sad face) and bright lipstick (sad face with tears). At this point I dont understand..what do you mean you dont want foundation, bright lipstick or eyeliner..those are my must haves lol. But none the less she likes the less makeup so here we go:
First Step: my face was freshly cleaned and I always apply a moisturizer and most days a dual moisturizer/sunscreen. Today I used my Kiehl's facial moisturizer I carry in my makeup bag. Leaves your face moisturized and fresh. Let it dry.
Second Step:Then I apply a lip balm, I used a Bath and Body works Lemon flavored lip balm, to keep my lips hydrated and looking good before I apply lipstick. If I am doing a deep color on my lips I will apply this at least 30 min before bc I want my lips smooth but I want the color to be at its most vibrant.
Third Step: I skipped foundation and powder for this look because this allows some basic coverage for blemishes or dark spots but allows minimum coverage and doesn't make your face feel heavy. It is also very very quick. I suggest once you mark your spots, which for me I put it under my eyes, on my forehead in the middle, under my nose and on my chin. I let it sit for about a minute and then will blend with my finger by gently blotting the concealer into the skin, careful not to rub it away but letting it blend into the skin.
Fifth Step: I am a stickler for eyebrows. They can literally change your entire look with a few swipes of shadow or stick. I usually use a eyebrow stick but I opted to use a matte eyebrown shadow for a more natural and easier way to fill in your brows. So the easiest way to do this is to get a small eye shadow brush and pick up a little product on the tip. Start at the end of your brows where you want to focus most of your attention. Pick up more product with your brush and move into the middle of your brow filling in any spaces. I would suggest do a little at a time to not mess up. You dont want them overly dark or look like they were drawn on. If you feel they are too dark, take a cu-tip and just blot your eyebrows with it to remove some excess product.
Sixth Step: I also normally use an eyelash curler but I also skipped this step as well. I opted for my Maybelline Mega Lush Volume Mascara in Black and gave some simple coats on my top and one coat on my bottom lashes.
Seventh Step: I used Maybelline Dream Mouse Blush in Peach Satin. This is a very easy blush, its creamy and goes on smooth. I used my fingers to apply and started at the apples of my cheek and ran my fingers up the cheek bone towards my hair line and just smudged it in. This is very natural looking leaving your cheeks with a slight flush that looks natural. You can totally skip this if your cheeks tend to be pink and you arent wearing foundation.
Eighth Step: Last but not least, I used my clinique lipstick in Poppy Shine. I just ran the lipstick over my lips, over the lip balm which makes the already light lipstick color even more sheer. This gives my lips a little bit of color without being overwhelming.
This look took me about 15 minutes or less to do and by the way I did it in the car while my husband drove us to work. Hope you like it and if you have any other looks you want me to try let me know.

I let it sit for about a minute and then will blend with my finger by gently blotting the concealer into the skin, careful not to rub it away but letting it blend into the skin.
Fourth Step: I used one Eyeshadow Trio by Cover Girl. in the color Cafe au Lait. Its a shimmer trio with a white, neutral shimmer beige and a shimmer brown. Now this is one of my favorite go to eyeshadow trios. I like both shimmer and mattes but for this look and for my skin I tend to use a shimmer eyeshadow for a natural eye look. So I start by using the white and running it under my eyebrow start from the out and going to the corner of my eye. I am using a small fluffy brush from NYX. Next, I take the middle beige color and cover my entire lid all the way up to the white. Depending on your skin color you may need to get darker shades. Note: most days I use a eyelid primer to help give your eye a clean base and it helps keep your eyeshadow on longer but I skipped it for this look. I wanted it to be basic, easy and natural. Then I take a small brush and take the brown and start in my outer crease and run my brush through the crease of the eye socket. Then I pick up more product and start in the corner near my lash line and brush some there. I then take my fluffy brush and blend it all together creating no lines. This took me all of about 3 minutes.
Sixth Step: I also normally use an eyelash curler but I also skipped this step as well. I opted for my Maybelline Mega Lush Volume Mascara in Black and gave some simple coats on my top and one coat on my bottom lashes.

Makeup Of The Day for September 12, 2012
Hey Everyone!
So sorry I have been away for awhile, I will try to do better in my posting. Here is a quick collage showing you my makeup for today. To be honest on most days I do all my makeup in the car on the way to work while my husband drives. I prefer to do it at my vanity in peace and relaxation but I learned at an early age to be able to put makeup on without great lighting, without a mirror so putting it all on in the car is no problem.
Today I wore navy blue slacks and a slate blue blouse with a floral print so I wanted to encoporate the slate blue color in my eyeshadow.
